<p>^Not just reputation. Other factors such as citations/faculty, number of international students, peer review scores, student/faculty ratio, etc... are taken into account.</p>

<p>So, California1600, what do you think about Umass being the #20 school in the US? Do you agree?</p>

<p>I find it odd that UMass is up there, I also think UMich should be higher than UT, and that Columbia should be higher than UT. UCSD is better than UCLA for biology/biomedical engineering in terms of research, but I'm not sure if it's better than UCLA overall. Penn should be higher (Wharton, anyone?).</p>
