Worried about admission.

<p>I've been fretting over this for the past couple days. WVU is my top and only choice for that matter. I applied to some open enrollment schools that I like, but would absolutely LOVE to go to WVU. I'm just wondering what everyone thinks.</p>

<p>GPA: 2.67
SAT: 1750/2400
ACT: 26</p>

<p>4 Year Soccer Letterman+Senior Captain
Steady job for the past 8 months.
2 Letters of Rec Written
40+ Hours of Volunteer hours
EC activities including: Leadership seminars, founder of a couple different clubs.</p>

<p>Also wanted to add that my school is on a different kind of grading scale. (95-98 A, 87-90 B, 79-82 C, 72-74 C, 69 Below F). Also is a very prestigious public school and I've heard stuff from counselors that WVU has recruited heavily in the area this past year, so I'm wondering if this helps/hurts me at all.</p>

<p>I'm also wondering if WVU will check 1st semester grades for senior year? I felt as if I put more effort into my 1 semester of senior year than over the past 3 year of high-school, but my grades don't show much for it. If anything it would bring my GPA down .1 or so.</p>

<p>Any help would be awesome. I've been pretty stressed about it the past couple weeks.</p>

<p>I think WVU accepts 99.99999% of their applicants. Correct me if I am wrong. You will get in unless you have a felony on you.</p>

<p>TarHeelBound that's not exactly true as I know someone who got rejected from WVU this year, but for the most part they do have lax admissions standards. Any sub-3.0 gpa will hurt you but I think you'll get in anyways since 1750 is pretty solid, especially for WVU</p>

<p>The 26 on the ACT will really work in your favor, as well as your SAT Score. TarHeelBound might have overdone it a bit, but in WV he's very correct. I know people who have 18s and 19s and get in with no problem. In fact, people with felonies still can get in. I don't think you have to worry, and they are rolling, so you should hopefully find out soon-- let us know :)</p>

<p>Not only can people with felonies get in, they can also start on the football team...</p>

<p>And the acceptance rate is somewhere between 90% and 95%</p>
