I haven't checked my AP Calc AB score yet...So i just wanted to know what did you guys feel about the FRQs after you took the AP Calc AB exam? And, how many of you that thought you failed it actually ended up getting a 4 or a 5?? (The same goes for AP Chem)

well junior year when i took chem, i walked into and out of the exam knowing i would beast/beasted the exam. i was surprised i didn’t get a 6 haha (i got a 5).

i felt almost the same way with calc, except a little less confident. the FRQs were pretty good for me. i knew i got some parts wrong here and there, but nothing that would give me anything under at least a 4. (i got a 5)

I thought the frq for calc were fairly easy, but I was confident I got every MC right with the exception of like 1 or 2. I thought it was possibly id gotten a 4, but I got a 5.

I didn’t study for chem and my teacher sucked. I bought a review book with 1 week to go and read through it once without doing a practice test (i did however look at the practice test questions and see what the answer key said was right, so I guess I “memorized” the answers lol). I got a 4, but because I started so late in preparing I wouldn’t have been surprised to get a 3.

lol. same feeling. Have to wait for my scores in the mail.

Most of the Calc AB FRQs were easy. The first question: I screwed up big time. I misread the interval - i read it as whole numbers instead of decimals. The last two questions were alright.

Chem - second question was a lab. I would totally mess up on that question. Lewis structure in the first question, I did it incorrectly cuz the test wrote it HOCl.

I just hope that i receive both 5’s.

Last year on AP Chem, I was hoping for a 5, but I knew I had messed up a lot and I wouldn’t have been surprised to have gotten a 3. I wound up with a 5, though, so don’t give up hope, OP. :)

I expected a 4 on Chem this year, and that’s what I got. We hardly did any labs, so that messed me up a bit.

i thought i would get a 3 or a 4 in AP calc AB since i completely screwed up the last two FR questions. i guess the easy multiple choice questions helped me pull off a 5

for chem, i felt that id be lucky to even get a 3. my teacher was horrible at preparing for the test and i think i only got 1/3 of the FR questions right at the most. i also only answered around 50 of the MC questions. the curve must have been very good since i got a 4.

For chem, I realized after the test that I missed a couple of minor points, but I was reasonably confident overall (although I thought Calc BC was way easier)—I ended up getting a 5 on both exams. AP tests are unusual in that they should make you feel slightly unnerved after the test—College Board has practically boasted that a 100% is impossible, and the generous curves for most tests reflect that. I wouldn’t worry too much.
