Worried about college! Help me!

GPA:

I have been considered for ELC. I am ranked 54/654 but that's only considering UW GPA, and I have one of the higher weighted GPAs in my class considering I was one of only 4 students taking 4 APs their junior year. (We only have 14 APs total in our school)

President and founder of an anti-genocide chapter of STAND, which is a national student run organization. It is the first one in our whole area, so it'll be very community based.
Already raised $700 for the Genocide Intervention Network in 3 days and will continue to work in the coming months. I'll write my personal statement on this.

I'm really worried that I wont get into any good schools. Please chance me for

Stanford
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
University of Texas- Austin
USC
UC Irvine
Cal Poly SLO
Santa Clara University

Also, I’m majoring in Chem Engineering

bumpbump plz help me. i will chance back

Reach
Stanford (It’s a reach for everyone. You have a good shot, although your Critical Reading score is low.)

Match
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
UC Berkeley
UCLA
U Southern California
Cal Poly SLO (low match/high safety)

Safety
UCSC
U Texas-Austin
UC Irvine
Santa Clara U

You don’t need more than two or three safeties. You also don’t need to include all of your classes/grades in a chance thread; your GPA and an indication of the rigor of your courseload, as well as what your school’s like, are good enough. Also, the AMC score doesn’t mean much since you didn’t advance to the AIME; you could include it on your application, but it isn’t necessary. Depending on how many schools you end up applying to, you could certainly add another reach.

some more opinions? please?

I don’t know what the policy is for OOS for UT-Austin, but if its anything like the UCs, I would consider it a match, not a safety.

Unless I’m missing something, I wouldn’t even apply to both Stanford or Cornell (choose one unless you have a good reason to apply to both; prestige is not one of them, etc)

I’d say you stand a decent chance at Cal, LA, USC, Carnegie Mellon. Probably in everywhere else.

Instead of super reaches like Stanford/Cornell, I would find some more modest reaches around the level of Berkeley.

what are some schools like Berkeley?

bumpbumpbump

I really don’t think you should be too worried

Stanford- high reach
Cornell- reach
Carnegie Mellon- low reach
UC Berkeley- low reach/ match
UCLA- match
UCSD- high match
University of Texas- Austin- match
USC- match
UC Irvine- high match/safety
Cal Poly SLO- high match
Santa Clara University- high match
