Worried about college so soon...*sigh*

Lol, sorry I'm kinda down. I was wondering if my chances for Emory and UGA honors were totally shot because my GPA would only come up to a 4.1 and my EC's aren't good at all. I'm only a sophomore in high school so I haven't taken the SAT or ACT but will my GPA and EC's alone ruin me? Should I try lowering my standards or am I just worried for nothing.

Don't worry, like you said, you're still a sophomore and have plenty of time to bring that GPA up and develop your ECs. I've met people that get jittery over getting a few Cs and Bs, then later laugh about it when they get into extremely good schools anyway.

While you shouldn't lower your standards (as that would drop your performance), just realize that needlessly stressing over these small things will only hurt you.

But I'm so scared. A 4.1 is the highest I can get in all four years, meaning I have to get all A's for the rest of my days at high school. But I always get a B in math and UGA's page says that alot of there students have GPA's over a 4.0. Ahh going into extreme stress mode again!!!

Also I hear this thing about the weight of each year being different? I really don't understand it. Some people are saying that senior year has the largest weight but I thought it was all equal.
