Friend has high GPA and already applied to Haas. He is afraid of failing his last required class. If he failed it this winter quarter, is it possible for him to retake it spring quarter in time for the transcripts to be sent in showing that he has made up for his failed course? If he gets admitted, would he be resigned for failing that course even though he'll make up for it in spring?

He can repeat the course in Spring. But he should notify the campus after admission that he had failed the course in winter and is repeating it in spring. Haas will determine whether to extend or revoke his acceptance. This will give him time to appeal or make backup plans. Haas is going to find out in July after the official, final transcript arrives; so it’s better to come clean sooner rather than later.

No one if buying the “friend” thing.

So your friend is already taking the class to make up for his failed class of this past Winter quarter?

required course as in Prereq or Breadth Course?

If its a Prereq then you might have a big problem.

@lbc123 Aw come on I have legitimately asked for advice for a friend.
