Worried about Fin Aid package

I'm going to Northwestern in the fall. I submitted my FAFSA and CSS Profile on time but my parents neglected to send in their tax forms. So they just did friday. Will I lose out on money since it wasn't in on March 1st? I need as much money as I can get.

northwestern doenst give great aid even if you have your forms in on time-but if they already had all your other forms you should still get something

Well I heard the contrary from everyone that is attending, great fin aid package for my friend ($40,000)....and seeing how my EFC is $300...I'm hoping for something like that.

I am just going by what I read on the boards
but they do meet 100% of need so they should offer you package that will permit you to attend.
students generally graduate with over $17,000 of loans so your package will probably be made up of loans, grants and workstudy.

Which is why I'm hoping I get this Gates Scholarship lol. When I report outside scholarships do they subtract that from loans first?

NW gives fantatstic aid to those who qualify. If your parent's make $300,000/yr, don't expect anything.

If you do get an outside scholarship, expect a dollar for dollar reduction in the award from NW (Perkins, then Stafford, then the rest)

Keenya, If you get the Gates Scholarship, it will pay for your loans and work study.

No, we are poor folk lol My EFC was ony about $300 and I am getting 4,050 in Pell Grant money...which is the largest amount you can get. Good thing they subtract outside scholarships from loans. But I mean...what if there is a gap? How can you pay for it if your outside scholarships can't go toward filling in the gap? Please Gates pick me lol
