Worried about interviews

I recently decided to apply to MIT; recently being a week ago. I've always loved MIT but I never thought I would stand a chance. A couple of my friends, guidance counselor, and parents told me to go for it. I've submitted all my apps on time, but now the interview deadline is over a month away! Is there anything I can do!?

-Thanks

"The deadline to have your interview has officially passed (12/15). You may still contact your Educational Counselor, but we cannot guarantee that he/she will still have availability. (Sometimes EC's are able to be accommodating even beyond the deadlines.)"

So you'll have to check with your EC. Good luck.
Alternatively, you can e-mail interview@mit.edu with your situation.

It really depends on how many people apply in your area a lot of times. If there isn't a lot, then they might be able to accomodate you, but if you live in a big city with a lot of people applying, I highly doubt you can get an interview, but still try.

I live in a fairly small town so I don't think there will be any trouble scheduling an interview; I'm just worred a late interview will hurt my chances.
