Will I be able to get into Purdue or Indiana University if I have a 3.43 GPA and a 23 on my ACT..? not my best score, but I'm taking the SAT this next month for the first time so I might have that score sent in instead. If my ACT isn't going to get me accepted, what should the minimum of my SAT score be in order to get in?

Last year Purdue’s 25%-75% ACT range for accepted students was 24-30. So you are below the 25% mark for the accepted student pool, which isn’t a great sign. Most students who get in with a 23 are probably hooked (athletes, legacies, URMs, etc).

The 25%-75% SAT ranges were:
CR: 510-620
M: 550 - 680
Wr: 510-620

Ideally you want to get to at least the 50% mark to consider a college a match (so about the midpoint of each of those ranges). Take a lot of practice SATs between now and then, and make sure you learn from the questions you miss as part of your studying process.
