Worried About SatI

i recently scored a 640 on math section in Gruber's............i feel really worried....

Gruber's is stupid. that's not a realistic score.

you are a funny kid- you posted the same thread 50 times and said that you will score high on SAT. Then, you got 640 on math on Gruber. Relax. Gruber is harder than the actual test, kinda like Barrons. Plus, you still have until the end of junior year or the beginning of senior year to practice, practice, practice on SAT. Then, if you study assidously, then your score will be improved.

i studied so hard this summer, yet i couldnt even get over 700. even if it was gruber, and gruber is a little harder, it still made me feel really bad.... i feel no matter how hard i try, im not improving.......................

did you learn from your mistakes? did you understand why your correct answers were right? did you learn how to avoid silly mistakes? did you learn how to use a calculator correctly (some people tend to press wrong buttons)? did you learn enough materials (what math class will you take this year?) to understand how the question is answered? If nothing works, try RocketReview and Collegeboard's Official Study Guide.

i did all of those things. i understand everything, but i dont know why i can't get over 750 at least.

Look, some people aren't good enough. Most people have a peak score, as in they can't score higher no matter how much they study. I could get 800 on all the math tests I took, but I could never break 720 on a verbal or writing test...that's just the way things are.

Why are you worried about a 640 anyway? That's way above average...

for ivy leagues yea right lol.

Why don't you just go studying instead of posting same threads over and over and wasting your time on a depressing, addictive website? You can use your time wisely. Good luck.

Don't listen to this!!!! Keep trying and studying...DON'T GIVE UP!! that is the important thing. Remember that standardized tests are not very good indicators of intelligence and cannot determine aptitude. So Don't Be Discouraged! :)

I wonder if anybody's ever commited suicide due to unhappiness caused by a SAT score.

I remember this story my dad told me. It was time for him to take the SATs, and a kid came up to my dad asking for money to pay for the test. My dad didn't have enough money to pay for the kid. A couple days later, the kid was walking around the town drenched in gasoline, asking for a match. Then some retard actually gave a match to him, and he lit himself on fire. His suicide might not have been completely because of the SAT, but it might have influenced him a little. My dad feels really bad about not giving him what little money he had.

yea im studying really hard right now. ill stop posting now lol thx for ur advices guys.

Wow Flipsta_G, that's crazy. Anybody else have any SAT-suicide related stories? (not that I'm saying it in a happy way or anything, just curious...)
