I signed up for my classes a while ago and I think I have a problem.

Here's my schedule:

Monday - Chem Lab 2 (11-2 pm) and Bio (2-3:30 pm)
Tuesday - Chem lecture (9:30-11) and Math (2-4)
Wedneday - Chem Lab 1 (11-2) and Bio
Thursday - Repeat of Tuesday
Friday - Bio Lab

So you can evidently see that my first class is Chem Lab 2!! How is that going to work? Don't I need to take the lecture first? I don't understand this at all, why would they even let you sign up for Labs that are before the lecture?

And my other problem is that my Chem Lab 2 goes until 2 o clock and my Bio lecture starts at 2. I didn't see that until a few days ago. Will that be a problem?

Labs begin a week or two after the start of term. Additionally, lab material only loosely correlates with the lecture, the lab course itself teaches whatever is necessary for the given experiment.

Lab courses are given a large chunk of time because there is no set amount of time for each experiment. Some may last two hours, but most will be between an hour and an hour and a half. I've never had a lab that consumed the entire three hour block it was designated.

my start day is monday though, and chem lab is my first class. so do we do nothing then for the first week?

i'm really worried about this because i had to stress over getting my schedule right and i thought had it done and now i run into this conundrum. i just don't see why it would even be an option to take any lab before the lecture if there was a problem with doing that.
