We’re supposed to drive down to NC from NJ, but of course there’s a storm a brewin’. Elon has canceled school for today, but it seems as if the storm starts, slows down and then starts again on Friday. UGH! At first we were planning on leaving Thursday during the day, then changed that to Thursday evening (once the snow had moved more north) but now it seems as if there’s no good time to leave.

I’ll just keep watching the website and checking emails. Of course we can’t switch to another date because all of the MT dates are full. Double UGH!

I feel for you. I still can’t believe Elon closed today - the snow isn’t supposed to get heavy until late afternoon. But I’m guessing everything will be completely shut tomorrow, and chances are most places will be shut Friday as well. They’ve been brining the roads, but we’re supposed to get actual accumulation with some ice mixed in. There just isn’t the heavy equipment to deal with this type of storm. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you - Elon has a great program!

Classes have been cancelled tomorrow as well. CNN was covering the mess in Raleigh extensively earlier this evening, and the infamous Duke/UNC basketball game was even cancelled. As the parent of a current MT student, questions remain about Thursday’s performance of 1776. A discussion is underway about trying to squeeze in another performance this weekend. No idea what they will do about auditions.

They still are having auditions! Talked to Kimberly Rippy at the office and she said they are still on. 1776 performance on Thursday is moved to Saturday at 2:30. Hopefully everyone gets here safely!

It is supposed to warm up a bit tomorrow, but Elon is delaying classes till noon. They are doing auditions, but probably not anticipating as many will be there. If travel is a problem for you, call and see if they can reschedule you for another weekend, I suppose. 1776 will open Friday. Those with Thursday tickets may try to swap for another show.
