I want to double major in history or foreign language and science (probably biology). However if I had to choose I would declare history or foreign lang. as my major over bio. The problem is that my counselor told me the school might think I'm lying because I don't have activities that relate to foreign language and history, though I have some that relate to science (animal shelter, red cross stuff). I'm really worried! Would the admissions officers really think I'm lying? I have taken 5 years of Japanese and am the secretary of a Japanese club. However I want to major in Italian or Classical studies, neither of which my high school offers classes for. I have taken AP Japanese and history classes though and got good scores so I don't know. Any thoughts?

Stop worrying about it. You don’t even need to put a major on your application. There’s really no point considering the vast majority of people switch majors many times during college. Why would they think you’re lying about your major? What motive would you even have to lie about that…how would that help you?
