Worried CC Student with Questions!

Ok I will be EXTREMELY grateful to everyone that will answer my questions I have that I can't stop thinking about daily.

1) 3.4 GPA Applying Under Linguistics/English Emphasis, applied to UCLA,UCB,UCSD,UCI (want to go to UCLA)

2) I'm in TAP (UCLA, UCI) and will complete it, Joined AGS honor society club, Will be IGETC Certified

3) Most pre-reqs fulfilled but personally told by a counselor at UCLA pre reqs do not really matter for non-impacted majors.

Question 1 : my first semester at PCC was disastrous due to being really sick in Taiwan while traveling there for a couple days during Thanksgiving and not being able to come back, so i essentially missed all my finals. (It was too late to withdraw I think, and I wasn't serious about academics at the time) I explained this in my application but mislabeled the year while explaining it (2007 instead of 2006, do i need to email explaining i mislabeled the year or should i just expect them to figure it out anyways?)
Will a simple explanation of getting sick in Tawian satisfy my schools?

Question 2: In relation to question one, the disastrous semester resulted in the Grades B, D, C, and one F.

F in History D in English, c in a non transferable math course.

But since then i immediately retook the English class for an A and a B for the history course in the summer. How much will it affect my admissions decisions? I hope not too much because i've had strong showing every subsequent semester.

Question 3: As said in my intro I am a linguistics/English major but I am barely completing my math prerequisite in my final semester, will this affect my admission decisions?

Question 4: I've reported in my apps ive been working since Spring (20+ hours a week) and fall of 2007 (30+ hours a week there). But i will barely get at 61 units after Spring. Will the lack of courseload affect me? After barely getting only 3 units Fall 06 Ive taken like 8-7 winter and summer intersessions which is basically equiv to like a heavy workload in fall/spring

Also i made a horrible mistake and submitting my updated grades for Fall at midnight of January 30th essentially Jan 31 at 1 am, does this do anything to me posting my updated grades this late? I know I submitted on time last day, but im just so anal about it.

ANY COMMENTS AND THOUGHTS TO ANY OF THE QUESTIONS WILL BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!! (YOU HAVE NO IDEA)

i think an upward trend is not a bad idea.
looking at ur GPA i m sure u've had stellar grades after that incident
so well i can't prevent u from being worried but i don't think english major is THAT competitive.
if ur CC has a TAP program agreement with UCLA the more u shouldn't worry
if i m not wrong UCLA updates datelines were jan 31st, so i don't really know what the issue is >_>
we all are nervous lol busting our arses for the past 2 years at a CC and the moment of truth
MOMENT OF TRUTH.
its kinda sad that u know ur CC days are over.
but at the same time we're all wanting to GTFO so bad
ahahaha

I agree with Guardianel. The deadline for UCLA was on the 31st.

I don't really think you need to worry too much. If anything, the grade trend will definitely give you an extra kick to your app.

thanks, i was hoping i wouldn't have to worry too much.

Like i read the thread about F's SCREWING YOU OVER and people should have got W's instead to save themselves so i was like freakinggg out.
