i applied ed and i still havent gotten notified of an interview :(
i live in nyc..if that is any bit helpful..

No ED applicant on this board has posted about an interview schedule request, so at least you're not alone. Have you got your status check ID and password? That will at least let you know whether your application file is complete. My guess is that most people who applied at or near the deadline will get the message (as my son did) that D. is still assembling files.

I still get the same message that they have not finished sorting the applications and, as rainmama notes, no one here on the D ED board has been contacted about interviews.

i didnt even receive the email..i had to request my account info myself..
my friend who also applied ed to dartmouth was contacted yesterday about an interview today..
-.- i hope everything works out.

I'm an ED applicant and I was contacted about two weeks ago about an interview. My interview went very well. It was more informative for me than anything else.

My S has his alumni interview this past weekend. There were two interviewers.

klleader..are you from nyc?

Don't worry about the interview. I never had one, and I'm here now. If they want one, you'l be contacted, but it's not necessarily a bad thing if you don't hear anything.

What's hilarious, I'm an RD applicant (submitted apps early october) & I've had my interviews almost 2 weeks ago!!! I'm RD!!!, shouldn't ED have priority!!!

No, I'm from NC.

I sent my ed application October 9th, recieved a letter on Otober 17th acknowledging receipt of my application and had an interview on October 28th. I think I was contacted earlier because I sent my app in early. When signing in to Dart, I am told they have all materials and are reviewing.

I am still waiting to here about an alumni interview, but checking online today with Dartmouth I learned that my application is considered complete and the decision process underway. Yikes!!

Wow!! Look what I found on the Dartmouth website!

This is the guide from the Admissions Office for alumni interviewers. It shows the form the interviewers will complete.

^ C00L! But its no help to me because I dont have to give an interview :D

Pretty helpful for others though ;)

Instead, the Office of Admissions has created new student forums in which prospective students are able to meet in small groups with two current Dartmouth undergraduates on campus. Admissions officers and parents are not permitted to participate in the forums, allowing students to ask candid questions about academics, extracurriculars and student life at Dartmouth, Laskaris said. All applicants are also offered an interview with a Dartmouth alumnus in their area.

Umm what student forums?

Its already Nov 19 here, and my application status has not yet been updated. Are there any others whose app statuses say that the admissions staff is still assembling your file or sth? I am just too worried, is it that my entire app has not been recieved or something like that.

Yeah, I had my interview yesterday. It was just horrible.

Horrible in what way? I would make sure the teacher rec, counselor stuff, and peer review was sent and if it was, i would contact admissions with your concerns.

Horrible because, well, because I could not impress the interviewer that much. He was a Jesuit father, and my long hair and extra long beard just did not leave me in a good light right from the beginning. Well, I answered fine enough, but fine will not get me into Dartmouth. I need to be good or even excellent, for the matter.
I just contacted the admissions office and they replied that my school forms and commonapp havnt reached there. My counselor reco, 2 teachers recos and my commonapp, was sent in a single packet and it seems this was the biggest mistake I ever made.

They say that there could be a possibility of everything having reached the admissions office but not yet kept in a file because they havnt completed sorting out everything. And she has asked me wait for a followup email they will me sending out this week.
Well, I just cannot wait for one whole week. The postage, even when using the best courier service, will take atleast 4 days to reach to the USA from Nepal.
Would I be better off requesting my teachers and counselor to send everything once again or should I wait as the admission officer has advised?
I donot want to be ruled out of applying early to Dartmouth by any means.

I live in NYC and I haven't had an interview either. I called the Admissions Office and they said I should be contacted at the end of November. Don't worry, thesparetire.

sameer785, don't send your recs in again. It'll confuse the admin officers and also **** them off.
