Hi - any help here on if the following will hurt the way admissions staff look at me, especially when considering merit aid.
I have been applying to schools and have a 3.98 UW GPA and a 5.17 Weighetd GPA, good ECs and scored a 31 on ACT (took ACT twice and both a 31 composite, 32 super scored). Anyways, as I have been applying to colleges, I have been having my high school send the transcripts and recommendation letters (request through Naviance) and the ACT scores sent directly from ACT - just like I’m supposed to.
At beginning of junior year took the SAT (was my first try of any college bound standardized test and scored a 1260 CR+M) which was low for me so I never ever planned on sending this to any colleges. This was the only time I ever took the SAT. As I’ve been applying to colleges I have never, ever sent my SAT score to any of the colleges I applied to and ONLY sent my ACT scores. I just noticed one of the schools I applied to (which I was admitted to) on my info had this 1260 listed under SAT scores on my application but I NEVER sent them that score. I’m going to my high school counselor tomorrow to investigate but is it possible the college got the SAT from my high school transcript? If this is the case, will this hurt me or disqualify me from some merit aid? I did not even know my high school may have had this score as I never sent it to them either.
I am really worried now that every college I applied to will see this low score and may impact any admissions decisions and merit award considerations. Can anyone let me know if the high school transcript could possibly have this score? Also, would a college consider this ‘official’ if not received from the testing agency? Also, and more importantly, if my high school sent this with all my transcripts to all the schools I applied to (including my reaches) will this hurt me with admissions and merit aid reviewers?
Worried…
