Turned in my application around Thanksgiving with everything included (transcripts, Scores, etc.) but OSU’s site still says evaluation every time check it. Today I called the admissions office and they said that they recieved everything on December 5th (past the merit priority deadline) despite the fact that I had sent everything in before December 1st! When I asked for more information they said that my transcript (which was sent before thanksgiving) and my test scores (which were sent probably around 2 weeks before I turned in my application, November 14th) had been recieved in December 5th. Does this mean i’m not eligible for the morrill scholarship, for which I filled out a seperate application and tuned in before December 1st? What should I do about this?
Well, anyway, I am also pretty worried about my chances of getting in regardless, and since this is my first post it would be cool of you guys to give me my chances of getting into OSU.

According to the site: "To be considered for the full range of scholarships, your application for admission and all supporting materials (including official ACT/SAT test scores with writing) must be received by December 1, 2008. This deadline specifically includes the Maximus Scholarship and Competition, the Morrill Scholars Program, and the Provost Scholarship. "

I don't know if you would find success in appealing the date at which your application began being processed, but it may be worth pursuing to make sure you are considered for the scholarship.

Your overall chances for OSU seem quite high, as all of your stats are significantly above average except for the GPA. I wouldn't be very worried.

ruffryder1290: you'll definitely get in and i think you'll also get in the honors college...and you might not get a decision until around feb...i sent my app mid-october and just got acceptance letter a week ago...

Thanks guys. I'm actually not too worried about the deadline thing, because I heard from somewhere that if you have parents that work at OSU (Both of mine do) you have a lesser chance of getting scholarships from the university because they already give you tuition off (75% in my case). The only thing is is that I plan on living in campus, so wouldn't it be more advantageous for me to recieve the morrill and possibly get all expenses covered than just the 75% off tuition that OSU already provides me?
