Worried!!!!!!Schools average SATs???!!!!!

I took the June SAT, but I do not think that I did well on it. However, it was my third try and some CC'ers said that colleges start averaging all your SAT scores together if you take the SAT a fourth time. Is this really true or just a rumor. Also, if it is true, which of the following schools average the SAT after the fourth time. I really want to take it a fourth time.

Johns Hopkins
Cornell
Rice
Stanford
Northwestern
Chicago
Wash. in St. L
Carnegie Mellon
Vanderbilt

I'm pretty sure schools just look at the best score from each section.

In any case, you should confirm by looking at their admission procedures on their websites.

Most schools I believe receive all your scores on your transcript, but will consider your highest average, composite, score, at least that's my understanding.

I believe Vanderbilt said they look at your highest combined score when I visited.

most colleges look at your best from one sitting (i.e. 1340, 1450, 1370; they'd pick the 1450)

also, if you didn't do good on your first 3, you're not gonna do good on your fourth, fifth, sixth, etc.

Actually...most colleges take your best combined score, so if you get an 800 M one time and a 730M another time, they only consider the 800...but yeah, they wouldn't average your test scores, taking a test a fourth time is just considered slightly excessive
