Worried with what the Status says.

<p>So, I was looking at my status today and it says General Engineering. I'm not sure if it changed from my 1st choice engineering major (Chemical) to general engineering. </p>

<p>Is this a bad sign? Like does it shows that I did not get into my first choice major or is it the same for other fellow engineering major students? </p>

<p>Everyone in eng starts in gen eng and after a year you apply to the major. Basically you are pre-engineering. Some eng majors are ultra-competitive like bio-eng and others are not.</p>
