Worried

I feel like maybe I'm not applying to enough schools.
GPA: 3.5 (weighted)
SAT I: 1830 (high verbal, writing, low math)
SAT II's in the 500's and 600's
Lots of EC's and school involvement
Good essays

UCSC
UCLA
UCB
UCSB
SDSU (san diego)
CSULB (long beach)
HSU (humboldt)

everything either looks like a reach or a safety to me and no inbetween. I can't think of any other state schools to apply to that might be good for me, and I'm not able to afford private school tuition. Anyone have any comments? Too few? Too many reaches and safeties? I need feedback pleeeeease!

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump

those SATIIs don't look good at all, and a weighted GPA of 3.5 doesn't either (assuming you school goes by the usual unweighted/4.0 scale)

Alison

Realistically, I don't think you have a shot at Berkeley or UCLA

Fall 2003 Freshman Profile
UCSC ave GPA 3.62 SAT 1 score 1175, SAT II Math 589
UCSB ave GPA 3.86, SAT 1 score 1229, SAT II Math 622

For the state schools, I think you have a good chance.

I think it might be a good idea to add some schools to your list.
