Worried :(

So that is exactly the difference between NEED BLIND and NEED AWARE. Stanford’s need aware, so it will give priority to international students who can pay, although it’s rich enough that I’m guessing this effect is less than at schools undergoing severe budget crunches. Princeton IS NEED BLIND so no, it does NOT do this too. It, and the other five schools that are need blind for internationals that I just listed, admit international students WITHOUT LOOKING AT HOW MUCH THEIR PARENTS CAN PAY. That is the definition of NOT giving priority to international students with wealth. I’m afraid Stanford DOES give priority (although I continue to guess less so than, say, Berkeley, a public school in a state with budget problems). Princeton does not.

One other small point. When schools like Stanford are need aware for international applicants, that does NOT mean that they reject all international applicants who need aid. It means they have a pre-established budget for aid to international students, and they decide how to allocate that budget. Because they also commit to give each student they admit – including international students – enough aid to make it feasible for the student to attend.

So the fact that they are need-aware does not mean that you shouldn’t apply. You will be in an ultra-competitive pool of international students needing aid, but a number of those students WILL be admitted.

stop worrying at stupid grades… aspirationalist, u actually sound like the indian stereotype… Get a life ( and enjoy it while you can) …worry later next year :)
