I am feeling really worried. I am applying to UW Madison, UGA, Auburn, and Minnesota. I did very bad my freshman and sophmore due to home issues but got almost a’s junior and senior year with 10 classes a semester. I have over 4,000 service hours working at a vet clinic (which will be my major) Will state schools factor other things in than grades, and will they understand my discrepancy?? Sorry just really discouraged.
Relax and let your improvement junior year show how you overcame issues. UW will notice the junior year improvement and with their holistic approach won’t just look at the overall gpa. Your application can address that you had the above issues as well. Check with your HS guidance counselor if you have questions about how they write about you and you write about things.
