worried

Hey people
I'm very concerned about one term during my sophomore year that hurt my grades

EC
Violin-- Concertmaster
Honors Orchestra-4yrs
220 Community service
-Sports

XC- 2 years varisty (junior senior)
tennis- 4 years varsity: captain junior and senior year
Soccer- varisty: junior and senior years
Track- Junior year ( double up )

AP Courses

AP ECON
AP EURO
AP PHYSICS
AP CALC AB BC
AP USH
AP COMP. SCIENCE
AP LANG (spanish)
AP ENGLISH
AP BIO
AP CHEM

Highest SAT Score: 1560 (800 math, 760 eng)
SAT 2 Math B (800) Chem (760) Spanish (720)
Heres wat really freaks me out

Sophomore year 5 B's 1 A Unweighted GPA 3.2 Weighted 3.6
Second Term Unweighted 4.0 Weighted 4.67

Junior Year Unweighted GPA 4.0 Weighted 4.9 (around there high 8's or low 9's)
Second Term: Same

Senior Year 4.0 unweighted 5 weighted

so... you got some B's. what is there for you to worry about? i get B's, does that say i'm stupid?

your GPA went up (by a LOT) so it's all good; improvement is good

I wouldn't aim at the IVY's

you can still get into ivy's you know. Grades arnt all they look at... plus your grades look really good except for that one year.

Don't listen to FutureIVYER, he thinks its okay to lie on apps as a way to get by in life.

Don't worry about it. Sometimes people just have bad spots. They will see that you dug down and COMPLETELY changed your GPA and they will probably like that. It is obvious that you changed something about your work ethic between sophomore and junior year and I think that will shine through. Overall GPA is not ALL they look at - they look at every grade in every class. Good luck, I think you'll be fine.

I am aiming at

Columbia
U Penn
Brown
UC Berkely (sister attends)
Stanford (Brother and cousin graduated)
Northwestern
Rice
UCLA

Pimpette is right .. FutureIVYER claims he got in to IVY by lying on his apps:

hey
i think u have a pretty good chance at the ivies
but in case u dun get in u mite also wanna look at schools like georgetown n nyu
u challenged urself so thats REELi good

i think you will get in -- honestly, a few Bs won't hurt you...you participate in sports and music, which shows that you are well rounded...and you did really well on the SATs....did you have any interviews?

i think (pretty much like most people on this thread :) ) that you have a good chance at it.

the Bs wont hurt too much either -- and after all, an upward trend in GPA is what they're looking for, isn't it! :D
