Worried??

Anyone else besides me worried for AP score results in July? I'm trying not to worry, but it keeps bugging me. This year, as a sophomore, I took 3 APs, hoping to get 3 5's (AP World History, Stats, Calc BC). I'm not so sure now..anyone else ever worried that they would get a 4 because of just a bad testing day, but they got a 5 after? I just know I did so bad on world history..even though it was supposed to be easy..and calc bc too.since my teacher was horrible and I couldn't think straight (had taken the stats exam the day before). i just need to find a way to get rid of this worry. will getting a 4 ruin good chances to HYPS?

I don't think that bad scores would adversely change your chances, and a 4 isn't a bad score.

I'm a freshman, I took APAH... let's just say I'm praying.

No, a four won't affect your chance for admissions. Colleges don't even need to see your AP scores until you've already been admitted to the college. AP scores are more for college credit than for admissions...

^yeah, what he/she said.

AP scores only help in admissions (if you decide to show send them), but they never hurt (b/c you don't have to send them).

oh wow..thanks so much you guys are very helpful and smart. I should focus more on getting straight A's and extracurriculars/sports shouldn't I? and try getting at least a 4 on all AP Exams.

when in july do they come?

You can call to get them on July 1. They start mailing July 7ish.

To the OP, a 4 or above on AP exams is very good. Don't worry too much about WH because that's a class mostly sophomores take (meaning it's their first AP and they're not as experienced). You probably did fine on the others.

I don't know if I'm worried, but I'm a little tense. I graduated and I took AP Psych, Calc BC, and Physics C both M and E/M. I'm 90% sure I got a 5 in Psych and 80% sure for a 5 in Calc BC, and I think I pulled dual 4s for Physics, which sucks because UCSD only allows you to place out of Physics if you get 5s. Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers for fives on all of them because I got 5s on all my previous APs (Bio, Chem, Calc AB, Comp Sci AB) and all those 5s in a single column would look puuurrrty.

Oh, and I was worried that I might've gotten a 3 on my AP CS AB AP soph year, but I ended up getting a 5, so don't worry too much, it could happen.

Yeah, I am. I'm almost 100% sure I got at least a 4 on the English. I'm worried about USHISTORY and Government&Politics-I think the highest I could get on either of them is a 3. I know for certain I did not pass the Chem exam.
