worried

I applied ED II for swarthmore and I haven't received any information on how to check my application status! I sent my regional admissions officer an email, but I was thinking about calling them on monday too, since decisions are supposed to be out by mid-february and if anything's missing, they would need it very quickly. I got an automatic, generated email back from swarthmore that didn't seem very reassuring in terms of response-time. Can anybody offer any advice on what to do?

Also, if you are applying ED II, have you finished sending in your financial aid material? I don't think my parents will be done filing their 2009 tax returns in time. :-/

I would definitely call them. My S, an RD applicant, received an email on the 29th with a link to how to check and a note that anything missing needed to be in within a week. Hopefully, they would have contacted you if anything was missing.

Definitely call them ASAP! I also applied EDII and got an email about tracking my application on January 18th. I ended up calling them because it didn’t say anything about an ED agreement, and they said it was fine - they had sent out that email only to all EDII applicants. So in short, I’m thinking you should have received that email, and I would check and make sure sooner rather than later, especially since decisions are so soon(!!)

Hey, I also applied ED II. I would have applied ED I but my ACT scores wouldn’t be in yet. My parents haven’t finished filling out the financial aid information either, but i’m assuming that it will still be considered if you send it in because the regular decision candidates can send it in later.

As far as the email goes, I received it on January 18th as well, so definitely give them a call.

Good luck!

thanks for your replies all. I called them and apparently there was a typo in the system about my email address. They confirmed that everything was received.

my parents definitely do not have their 2009 tax information complete. X-(

Hey, I also applied for ED II, and unfortunately, I got rejected. . . .

well, good luck for all of you
