So I got into CSULB as an engineering transfer student :)
Problem is that I have really crappy grades...
I have three C's in freshman comp., critical thinking, and general chem. 1.
2 W's in Calc III and a Comp Sci. class
The rest of the G.E.'s and core classes are B's
And 3 A's in 2 G.E.'s and Calc II
My total gpa is probably below a 3.0 and I know it won't affect my admission to the CSU. However, I am worried about getting into a good grad school with these sorry grades. I mean i don't have that much of an excuse besides working many hours at my job and all. Would these CC grades matter for engineering grad. school?

They probably will. From what I’ve seen about graduate school, anyway.

To get into a grad school, you’ll definitely need to do really well from here forward. That way, you can frame your struggles as being a result of a situation that did not suit you well. If your poor grades are limited to just your freshman year, and you do well from here forward, you may be surprised at how competitive you can become.
