I am needing some help. I'm deeply wanting to transfer to Auburn University in the fall. Granted, not anywhere near as prestigious as some of the schools on here, but my dream nonetheless. I would have gone there straight out of high school, but my h.s. transcript was royally screwed after having gone to three different schools in different regions of the country. Plus, out-of-state tuition just wasn't an option at the time. Instead, I started out at Georgia Southern in Fall '05 and promptly realized that was an awful decision by going there. Within a month I knew that I was going to be leaving there at the end of the semester. Long story short, I completely lost interest and walked out with a bad GPA. I was put on academic probation, but am still eligible to return if I really lost my mind. Anyway, following that, I took a semester off. For the past year, I've been at a 2-year school (Georgia Perimeter College) working like crazy. I was on the Dean's List last semester and anticipate being on it again this semester. Also, I was invited and inducted into Phi Theta Kappa this month. After this semester, I will have 39 hours, but will be taking 7 hours this summer to take care of 2 classes Auburn wants for transfer students. My GPA at GPC is 3.7 and overall it balances out to be around 3.0. Everything seems to now be above and beyond what Auburn wants, yet I'm still nervous that they'll say no.

That was probably more information than necessary, but I'm just looking for someone who has been in a similar situation and can (hopefully) reassure me that I really don't have anything to worry about. If anyone has been through the transfer process at Auburn, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance and I apologize for being longwinded.
