Worst academic night of your life

Well, it's my sophomore year of high school, and due to skipping one day and procrastination I don't think I'll be able to go to bed until 5 am. It wouldn't be so bad, but I have a test 1st period.

I am not a typical CC'er so i'm sure some of you have better stories of how you had 6 AP projects due the day of a SAT II test or something a long those lines.

Hm, I don't have any horrible academic nights, since I never procrastinate and usually finish major projects a few days before they're due.

BUT.... I do have 80 lines of Beowulf to memorize by some undesignated time for next week. I prepared by recording the speech on my computer, exporting it as a .mp3 file, and sending it to my mp3 player. I'm going to play it on a continuous loop when I go to bed tonight.

I just need it to continue until I fall asleep, since that is all it takes (hopefully) to get a good amount memorized. If I don't memorize it all, then at least I can say I tried.

I'm not the "typical cc'er" either, but my advice: Just go to bed.

It's just school. It's not like it's the end of the world. Life is short. Live it up.

I would go to bed if they were just homework assignments, or if it was the beginning of the grading period, but it's not, so i'll continue onwards into the night.

O_o wow

I have super anxiety issues, so I've had a few nights that would rank up there.

It was probably some time this year. I had two huge projects due in two classes that I had been trying to put together for weeks but they kept not working and I greaked. It was a long night to say the least.

eh. the night before the first day of school i pulled an allnighter because i was finishing up an ap summer assignment. great way to start the new year eh? (yes i procrastinated a bit but it was so much dam hw lol)

sophomore year is so tiring. for the first month or so, the earliest i slept was at 1 in the morning, and i have to wake up at 6 for a period and i have to stay even longer after school because i have b period.

there was only one day this whole year that was good and the day after that was one of the worst days of the year for me but i guess it's to be expected

i usually only work until like midnight at the latest. that is latest ever
then i go to bed and hope for the best
haha

Earlier this year I had an art project, test in AP bio, and a paper for AP euro to write. I finished the project around midnight, started studying, then fell asleep, woke up at 4, then wrote my paper and continued studying.

I should write a paper: How Coffee Makes Me A Nicer Person

The night before my final exams. I went straight from my desk to school. Adrenaline worked wonders, and it was worth it :-)
(Straight A's)...

Until Jr year, i thought it was impossible to have to stay up all night working on homework. Ideally, if you keep up with the workload and dont procrastinate, you should be ok. However, now its Jr year and i've stayed up late numerous times. I'm not procrastinating that much, its just that there isnt enough time. We're all so busy!

Wow... I've never really had any bad academic nights. If there's an important assignment due but it's late at night (late meaning past 11:00), I just go to sleep and get up early to do it. I figure my productivity would be better that way anyhow.

LololOLOL! Wow.

Um, [one of] my worst academic night[s] was the day before the first day of school my junior year - I had ~3234 AP summer assignments/projects due the first day of school and I had sooooo planned on not doing them at all. haha. Anyway, somehow came across a grading syllabus/rubric and it turned out that each project was worth like 25% of my grade in each of the classes - YEEEEEEAH. Started working the morning before school started, worked pretty much straight through the whole day without stopping really, worked all through the night, and had to leave for school the next day at 6:30am. Hah. Ridiculous. Pwn'd the projects though, hahah :]

Sometimes I have bad nights, but not often. Usually when I do have bad nights, I do half at night and half in the morning to split up the work and whatnot.

Worst was last year for a project at the end of the year in May, I was good the whole year, but waited last minute for this one. Stayed up till 3 and part of that was fixing the printer, which naturally, broke.

Must've been that week when I had a paper due and a practical to study for. Stayed up until 4 AM for the paper; 3 AM for the practical. Course I did not get an A on either.

Last year I was awful about procrastinating and pulled a ton of all nighters even though I only had two APs. This year I have four but I learned my lesson about procrastinating and I haven't come close to pulling one:) But the worst experience I had last year was when I had a huge AP English project due and did not start it until two days before it was due. I pulled two all-nighters in a row, and I kept going to school and track practice too so I was exhausted. Then a couple days later I had a bunch of physics labs due because it was the end of the quarter and I put them all off so I had to pull another all-nighter. Definitely not a fun experience, but I got As on all of it so it worked out I guess.

Last year, procrastinated a HUGE geography project on North Korea (5 page paper and multiple posters) until the Sunday before it was due (due on Monday) and literally worked non-stop from 2 PM until 5 AM.

And I ended up staying home the next day since I was exhausted, but got my mom to drop it off. Still got a 95, which pleased me.

First time I ever pulled an all-nighter was May of junior year. I had 30 pages of AP history reading/notes and an AP English paper to write, all due Monday. I didn't do much over the weekend because I had some event or something to do.. probably a show.

Since then I've pulled a few more all-nighters this year. One was actually the day before the ED deadline, haha. I just didn't go to bed; I worked on my essay. I meant to sleep but then I just couldn't really stop.

Besides all-nighters though, I find myself going to bed at ungodly hours almost every day. 2 or 3 I guess. I also have a slight problem where I just pass out from tiredness while I'm doing my homework.. then I wake up an hour later and do a bit more.. then I do it all again. It's gotten better; when it was field hockey season it was bad. Luckily I seem to function fine on very little sleep. Ohhh yeah.

Tonight :(
