I am in algebra 2 PAP currently and I had a test today. The night before i stayed up until 1:00 trying to cram information. My HW is due on a weekly basis so i decided not to do it until the next day and just look over the book. When I was finally taking the test i didn't know how to do some of the problems. I couldn't finish 3 questions so my chances of getting an A on the test are gone since there were only 28 questions. I think I might have even failed. The funny thing is that when i started to do my homework i realized those 3 questions i didnt answer were actually very simple. Later that day a girl that I usually talk to didn't want to talk to me anymore? ***? To top it all off we had to watch a boring video in Business class. Since I was up late the night before I slept through the video only to find a quiz in front of me when i woke up. and i got a zero on the quiz. Luckily the techer decided not to count the grade because she thought i was having a bad day which is true. I am mainly worried about my Algebra 2 test because I want to get an A in that class. I think we have at least 4 more tests this term. Does anyone have any tips to get by these horrible days and how to deal with bad test grades?

Caffeine pills.

thats not that bad. its one test and not even a final. If you are stressing out that much about one test you will be fine. Just do your homework STUPID.

They assign homework to help you, but i am sure yuo know that now.

You can still very easily get an A in the class even if you made a D+ on the last test as long as you do well on the remaining tests. You probably want to do your homework before you take the test. Doing your homework prepares you for the test because the more problems you do, the better you will be at it and it will be less likely to make a careless mistake on the test. Especially if your text book has answers in the back of the book you can see if you are doing the problems correctly or you can ask your teacher for help. I don’t really see any advantage of doing your homework after the test.

study before the night before. you retain more if you start 3 days before.

trust here. I go to UCLA and my only weeks of hell are 4th and 5th (before midterms) and 10th (before finals).

Not to ■■■■■ or anything, but why would you study for algebra? o.o If anything, do your homework. Math’s not something to be STUDIED for. It’s something you learn and integrate into problems whether in math class or IRL. You obtain mastery through practice. But hey, don’t sweat one test.

Sounds like an average day for me.

^ I know, right?

If that’s the worst day you’ve had in your high school career, you better start counting your blessings.
