Could you be anymore selfish? Thousands of people work their off to get into these prestigious schools and few don't even get into either; you should really appreciate what you have right now.

you can always transfer. And, bcos you were accepted to Cal, you can apply as a transfer after one year. (It's buried in the minutiae of admissions rules.) But to transfer UC to UC, you better have a good reason besides the fact that you want to leave the Southern Branch.

is it easy for one to transfer from one UC to another UC that they have been accepted in? how would one pursue this? is it too late to transfer?

hindsight IS always 20/20. I was admitted to UCLA and CAL as a freshman, chose ucla, and now i'm transferring to Cal! yay! and i didn't see anything on that site about the one year transfer thing... I was told UC students would be considered like any other 4 yr college student, regardless of prior acceptance.

My mistake did not see the one year transfer, brain fade. Some UC's allow for a freshman or sophmore transfer see University of California - Counselors
but not Cal according to the Berkeley transfer site. Sorry for the misinformation. Hope you get what you want.
