Worst schedule conflict of my life

So, I go to a crappy ghetto school, and every year, they mess up my schedule. My freshman year, they gave me Spanish instead of French, and I couldn't change it because of scheduling conflicts, but it wasn't a big deal, so I said, "Ok, whatever."

My sophomore year, they gave me regular Art I instead of Advanced Art II, which I was supposed to be in since the art teacher gave me permission to skip Art I, but nooo, another scheduling conflict. So I said again, "Ok, whatever. I'll deal."

However, this year, my junior year, they have messed up my schedule horribly. I wanted to take:

-AP Calculus AB
-APUSH
-AP Biology
-Spanish III
-English 11 honors
-Physics honors
-Wind Ensemble

Instead, what do they give me?

-AP Calculus AB
-APUSH
-AP Biology
-English II honors
-Advanced Art
-School Service
-Wind Ensemble

***, no Spanish?? And yes, I wanted to take Advanced Art as a sophomore, but as a junior, I want to take more academic classes! I didn't sign up for art again! So I went to go complain to the counselor, and she said that as of RIGHT NOW, there is no way I could take Physics or Spanish III.

Great. Now I'm stuck with two crappy electives and a weak schedule because this school is poor and only offer a certain class once or twice during the year.

yeah normally for scheduling conflicts I'm like "Get the hell over it", but this one seems to be pretty messed up...

I suggest you still don't give up and talk to your counselor, if it doesn't work maybe the principal/district...etc, go higher.

I had to talk to my counselor 3 times and vice principal once before they finally agreed to let me have 7 classes so that I can graduate...LOL. (My school's one of those "ZOMG 6 classes only or NAZI!!" type).

damn... that's what you get for being poor I guess.

^was that necessary?

Yeah, I have schedule conflicts also, but yours is much worse than mine. I got put in Office Aid instead of Stat AP, and they just decided that I should take Env. Sci. AP. I went talk to my counselor, and she was like "well, you have taken some APs so just deal with Office Aid". My school is also poor and offers classes once or twice a day.

Petlee...you are beyond a nuisance towards someone in need. I suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself, where they are malicious to noone, but yourself.

Is there a reason why you cannot sign up for physics or spanish III? It appears ridiculous that you are not in classes that fit your own level.

The only time physics is offered is first and second block, which also the only time AP Calculus AB and APUSH is offered. I really wanted to take Physics, but I'd much rather take calc and apush instead.

Spanish III... it's a long explanation, but basically, because there are only certain times the classes are offered, there's a scheduling conflict. Either I don't take Spanish III, or I don't take one of the other classes I am signed up for (meaning, I'll have to drop English honors, or drop APUSH, etc).

My counselor said she'll try to get me into Physiology honors at least instead of Advanced Art, but for now, since School Service (which is basically teacher's aid) is next semester, she said to not worry about it now and maybe they'll open up a Spanish III class in the spring (I'm on the block schedule).

And yes, I am raising hell until I am able to take Spanish III. I'm going to see how things are like on Monday and then I'm going to bring my crazy Asian mother into this, and they'd better listen to me, because they sure as hell don't want to deal with my mother.

Yeah, going to a crappy school sucks.

I wanted to take AP Physics B and Cooking, but upon receiving my report card, I was put in regular physics and latin (Latin I, not beneficial to start a language in my junior year). I'm ****ed off, and my guidance counselor is gonna hear it.

Scheduling conflicts suck - I've had troubles the past three years with mine too. Not sure how your school works, but our counselors are pretty flexible with alternative options (like taking a course at another school in the district and driving over to get back to class, doing independent work, opening up "new classes" of a few kids if the teacher wants to). You may want to look into what other possibilities there are before you go and try to rip apart the master schedule by force lol. If the teacher likes you, they may be willing to help you out by giving you options like this.

My school is pretty terrible, too. If they don't give me the wrong schedule (7th grade they forgot Gym, 8th grade they gave me three periods of Gym) they give me the most impossible one to follow.
North end of building, first period. South end, second period. Back to north end for third. Etc. Etc. Not all that bad but a pain in the ass.
Each class gets three class period (for the most part). It's ridiculous even then because we have 30 or more kids in a class still.

I'm sorry to hear about your schedule. I have a friend who had a screwed-beyond-belief schedule in his freshman year, first semester.

What he was supposed to have:
Algebra I
Pre-AP (like honors) Bio
Art I
German I

What he got:
AP Statistics
Art I
AP Bio
Dance (actually a class at my school)

He had to deal with those classes for three weeks before they did anything about it.

It might also be possible to take Physics or Spanish 3 online.

We have a dance class at my school too, and tumbling, and walking. Uhhhh
