So.
There's a fire that broke out here at 2 pm today. We could see the flames from our school. And my lights keep flickering and I may lose my power, and the school will probably be closed tomorrow.

I'm supposed to take AP Calc BC tomorrow...
=/

When's the retake period? are the tests harder then?
GABLEGHHHHHHHHHH

what do you mean you’re f-ed? more study time!!!

There’s make-up time after every scheduled test has been taken.

It’s allotted for that.

"what do you mean you’re f-ed? more study time!!! "

I just want to get it over with haha.

As for your second question, re-takes aren’t usually harder. I’ve had friends take history exams after the original date and said they were easier. English ones tend to be about the same. (Granted, it’s two people comparing…) Still, it’s not going to be freakishly hard.

Just relax, hope things work out, and if not, take advantage of your extra time! Take another practice test, breathe, and read through your textbook again.

You must live in Santa Barbara. I’m about an hour and a half or so north. It’s all over our news. It’s not as bad as November’s Tea Fires I hope.

You’re going to be okay. =]

^Yep. I actually live about 15 mins south of SB, but it just got really bad about 30 mins ago and over 1/2 the kids at my school have been evacuated. Idk if our school will even be standing tomorrow…

I heard the Calc AB makeup last year was much harder than the regular one.

The Calc BC makeup is 5/21 at 8 a.m.

I was able to take Calc today. My next test is next tuesday, Psych, so I think I’ll be okay. Thanks though!

My school is gonna be closed until further notice!

Luckily I’m not taking AP eng.

What’s the air quality like right now in Santa Barbara? I wouldn’t want to be taking a test in those conditions.

^I live about 15 minutes away from the fire…and I can’t walk outside without feeling short of breath. But, the wind blew most of the smoke my direction. A lot of my friends aren’t dealing with as much smoke/bad air because the wind didn’t blow in their direction.

Jesusita Fire Update: Thursday, May 7, 8:45 p.m.

XXXX High School will be closed on Friday, May 8, 2009. At this hour there is a mandatory evacuation of the school site and surrounding area XXXXX. There will be no events (including athletics) held at school on Friday."

^If it burns…I’m gonna cry.

if u lived in san diego during the those two destructive wildfires, u know how bad the conditions are. I believe it was the cedar fire which was the worst. closed schools for a week and the city was covered with ash. heck, i was not even close to the fires but there was ash everywhere in the house, from my room to the kitchen and so on. the yard was covered in an inch of ash. u couldnt even breathe outside. im surprised u took the test in a horrible testing condition…

At least you have a date…my school closed last Friday because of swine flu and told us all ap exams would be taken during the late testing period. but today they completely turned around and told us that we’re going back to school on monday and we’re going to have to take all of next week’s tests next week! ugh!

but stay safe in CA…

Thanks guys! I appreciate it!

That really sucks! But I wish you luck on your tests, make your school proud! :D

See if you can take the test at another school in the area?

Probably not possible this late in the game, though.

^Yeah. I think the school will be open on Tues (assuming it stays safe). If not…I’ll do it during the late testing period.
