Worst Year in High School?

sophomore year - not because of grades really, just most of my classes were either boring or had shi++y environments and socially it was just a piece of crap year.

everyone I've talked to says that sophomore was their worst too. hmmm. I think it's that the novelty's worn off and you know you still have way more to go. Junior year tends to be the best because you're so close to being done, Senior year is half good and half really lame - it's either "yeah woohoo almost done I don't have to do crap!" or "why am I still here? I don't do crap!".

Freshman year, I guess? I didn't really have as much confidence as I do now, so I was pretty awkward =)

Sophomore year felt like an extension of freshman year, because I had mostly the same teachers/was in the same classrooms... but I had more friends and suddenly became more outgoing.

Junior year.

So sick of everything and so apprehensive about starting college apps.

My freshman and sophomore years were amazing, and this year hardly compares.

Freshman year- I didn't really have that many friends, and friends really make high school so much better.

Jr year.

Save me now.

Freshman Year

Sophomore year at my school was when they started offering loads of Honors courses.Wasnt fun

Sophomore year was HELL for me. In more ways than one.

I didn't like high school. I like college.

As of today, Junior year- my best and, now, worst year.

my whole sophomore year was ruined by Computer Science

Junior Year is better just because of that, but other than that JY sucks

Well, they've all sucked in their own ways- freshmen year always sucks just because you're a freshmen, sophomore year just seems pointless, junior year was the toughest academically, and now as a senior I'm so stressed about college all the time and keeping up my grades even though I have major senioritis that I haven't had much time to do fun stuff.

Sophomore year was probably the worst, though, because it's just so ambiguous and meaningless- the excitement of the first year has worn off, and you feel depressed because you realize you still have a loooooooooong time to wait until you escape high school. Plus sophomore year was my introduction to the hell of AP classes.

Senior year. I was under pressure to take the ACTs twice, got waitlisted from my dream school.

I also had to deal with this teacher's ********. He was lucky that I didn't file a complaint against him because there was only 3 months of high school left for me. I've never witnessed a teacher act so unprofessional by screaming his lungs out at me in front of a class because I was following orders from another teacher. (He was the only teacher that rubbed me the wrong way).

senior year for the days after your RD apps are out to the date you get your decision

yea, ***** and moan about all yoru work and such in your first three years, but you have no idea how much it sucks to wait

Senior Year is not fun at all.

Freshman and Sophomore years were great!
Junior year kinda sucked.
Senior year really sucks...

Junior year......my grades went down cuz of many problems.....-_-....and yeah looking into college was annoying.

first semester sophomore year........it was just so uninteresting...

Frosh year and jr year (now), but im hating Jr. year more (thanks to bio)

Freshmen, I was adjusting to a new way of life (I was addicted to online games and got Ds in middle school)
Sophomore year was friggin easy... basically wasted a lot of it
Junior year was probably the worst. Huge jump in workload
Senior Year... still tough, but I'm more used to it. And everybody's cares so much more about the stuff we do cuz its the last year. Probably the best year of my life. Whoever said second semester is a breeze must be from some other world tho cuz im workin my butt off right now

I think that juniors at my school have it bad. all of the guidance conselors are consantly lecturing them about the ACT, dont let yourself go, take the highest classes offered, and assorted other crap. most of them drop out anyway. all of the people at my school are huge slackers. the highest ACT score in the school is me (freshman) tied with the senior val- we both have a 31.
