Worst Year in High School?

Sophomore year is my worst year thus far. Don't ever take two or more humanity AP's in one year. :D

i would love to be able to take two humanity aps

senior year's just as bad as my junior year... i had to take SAT I, SAT II's begining of my senior yaer along WITH COLLEGE ESSAYS, app's, and this pain and agony of waiting to hear back from colleges :(

this stress is breaking me down

Junior year, and I'm not even done with it.

Sophmore year.

I got my worst grades freshman year, but sophmore year was definitely the hardest. Plus, when you're a sophmore you're still an underclassmen and don't get to pick any of your classes, so it just generally sucks. Being a junior is hard, but I'm used to working. Plus, now the end is kind of in sight!

Hmm, I would be ****ed if I didn't get to choose my classes, too...

^Ditto.

10th graders at my school are unrestricted as far as course selection goes, as long as it isn't something like 8 AP's. Most of the kids in my class take 2 AP's. We even had two freshmen take AP classes (Chem and Bio).

Yea, my school really wants us to take AP's early on. :P

Junior year.

Academically, fine.
Social- and personal-development-wise, it was hell. I never want to go through that again.

Have to agree with kayrlis. Academically, I was fine, but personally, I felt like crap. Senior year hasn't been a cake walk either, but I'm managing.

I don't recall any one year being horrible...but I guess I'll say sophomore year because there were a couple big disappointments and my Mamaw passed away.

senior year,

I'm under so much stress.

currently in sophmore year and its hell
I seriously don't see the point of GOING to school.
My classes are extremely hard, and there is a lot of work, yet we don't actually do anything IN the classes, so it feels like its a waste of time to actually go to school. Its just like 7 hours of doing nothing, that prevent me from actually getting more than 6 hours of sleep.

Sophmore year feels like one REALLY LONG Monday.

I've decided that Junior year is also going to be hell. I am taking 5 APs, 1 Honors, Health, and College Sociology Honors. The amt of work I'm going to have is enough to cause death. IDK how its going to be possible to actually do ECs.

Senior year is going to be nice though. 4 APs, two of which I'm really interested in, 1 relatively easy Honors class, electives, and I plan on hopefully having a 1st pd. study hall so I can come in late.

freshman yr..public schools suck...they really suck if u can afford/get a scholarship go to ****ing private school i was one in a 1000 kids at my school and they ignored me b/c i was "special" and i needed attention and the rest were easy and they could force all this hard work and put me in inclusion(which worked for me the 3 years b4 really well) where i had a special period where i got help and there was a assistant in all my classes who taught me in the special period 2 but i had so much trouble still during hs i had trouble w/ stuff other kids excelled in and vice versa

now i go to stupid kids school and i love being able to do stuff nobody else can( public school= excelerated private school= slowwwwwww and behind in academics) like on my test yesterday i did all these extra things to my math problems on my test that nobody else in my class knows but me

Junior year, most def. There's nothing exciting about high school, there's way too many tests, the work is piled on, and you have to listen to the seniors ramble on and on about graduation. In my school for some reason, Juniors are the least respected next to freshmen.

Thank goodness I'm a senior now.

Personally, I hated freshmen year since I just transfered from Taiwan, with a 5 year gap in my English education.

It took several months for me to get used to it.

Looking back, I think I didn't really like high school all that much....

From a purely academic standpoint (GPA) the first semester of my junior year was worst, mainly because I missed a bunch of school due to surgery. Nevertheless, the second semester of my junior year more than made up for the first one. So I guess I'll go with freshman year for the worst year overall: it was socially unenjoyable and academically boring.

I kind of liked high school... Senior year was pretty stressful, but since I did early action it stopped being stressful in December rather than this week.

But if I had to choose, probably 10th grade because I hated Geometry

Junior year was by far the hardest year, so much stuff to do..

Senior year, mmm I'm lovin' it. :)

Senior year, mainly because of teachers that can't plan, thus ruining the year as far as Spring Break from last September; college application woes and anxiety over waiting abound, as does latent racism that rears itself everytime college is mentioned or invoked

tenth grade. Basically because I had a depleted if not non-existant social life. I stayed at home all year and only went out twice (once during spring break and the other on the first dat of summer lol)
but last year, and this [senior] year, have been a blast. ALOT better than sophmore year.
