<p>I can’t make any guarantees. I have a reasonable understanding of how MIT Admissions works from being friends with some of the officers and hanging out in the office a lot in between classes for a couple of years. But I can never give definite answers on a specific case. I would predict, however, that it will help. In my case, I had low math grades and a low AP Calc BC score, but I had 800s on SAT I math and SAT II Math IIC, and that probably helped redeem me. I didn’t have any recs from math teachers - different people have different ways of proving that they’re capable - but a good rec from a math teacher can only help.</p>
