Ivies: reach
UCB: high match but can you pay 55k/year if you are OOS?
JHU: low reach

What’s your W GPA? I think if you talk about figure skating-which can make your EC stand out-, it will be very interesting.

@paul2752‌ I did talk about skating quite a bit, it was the subject of many of my essays. My school calculates Weighted GPA in a weird way… it’s a 5.25 because all of my A’s in honors/AP classes are weighted to 6 points, accel classes (only when I had to, like for my prerequisites to get to Italian AP) to 5 points, and prep classes (I only took prep for required courses like Consumer Ed) to 4 points.

And yes, I am willing to pay $55k for Berkeley. My parents are in a fairly high income bracket and I am not applying for financial/need-based aid

If you did well on those weighted classes(say A or higher) you are set.

Good luck…what’s your major? You need some safeties because none of those schools are

@paul2752‌ I only got B’s in 1 semester in AP Euro my sophomore year and Honors Algebra 1 semester my freshman year (so foolish)

My major will be International Relations (or whatever it is called at each specific school) and I do have safeties. I’ve already been accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and have applied to George Washington U and Univ of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Thank you so much for your advice.
