Worth applying to Stanford?

GPA: UW 3.5 (technically 3.7 since its grouped into A-, but they will see the exact grade is 3.5)
ACT: 34

Also we don’t have weighted grades

If it wasn’t for second semester 10th grade, I’d have an actual 3.7 - I got depressed that year and tried to fail 10th grade and repeat it. I know, stupid.

I have participated in extremely diverse clubs since 9th grade
I volunteered at an animal hospital over the summer, I want to be a veterinarian, and I got a glowing recommendation from my boss. He said I was the best volunteer in his 17 years of work.

I have been told my main common app personal essay is extremely funny and unique. It’s about raising two baby cockatiels abandoned by their parents and I jokingly write it like I’m a single parent dealing with difficult kids.

My two passions are the only reason I’m even considering it. Here are my athletic accomplishments. I’m putting it in the additional information section of the application.

I already finished the application and I feel my essays are very unique, creative, and funny, but then again so is everyone’s haha. just wondering if its worth having any hope.

aha thank you!

your gpa is pretty low so that’s going to make it near impossible. I’m not sure if explaining your situation would do much either.

If you have a couple extra bucks to send in an application, then go for it.
