Worth Applying?

I am an OOS student, and I understand that Berkeley essentially gives little to no financial aid.
However, I really do need financial aid. NPCs at private colleges estimate my family paying $10-$20K a year.

So, is it even worth spending the $70 application fee then, and then the SAT score reports?
I have everything lined up, it’s just the matter of deciding whether or not I should spend the money.

Is true that Berkeley is guaranteed to give me no money?
What do you advise I do?

It’s not worth it.

The UCs are California public schools funded by the California taxpayers. Thousands of instate residents apply to these schools and are funded by state scholarships and grants that OOS students are not eligible to receive.

You could apply to Berkeley, but you can’t assume any money. It will cost you $55K per year. If you need financial aid, apply to the private schools.
