My school limits the number of applications to 6, so I have to pick schools wisely. I have decided to apply to schools where I have a chance because I don't want to end up being rejected from all schools. Do I have a decent enough shot to warrant applying?

International Applicant.

well you aced the SAT2s, did a high school internship, won multiple international awards, and can speak four languages…no you’re not Columbia material by any means, you really think you had a shot? Ha! Seriously get real, you know what you can do, no need to post :)

It’s incredibly difficult as an international student coming from China but you certainly do have a shot. Your standardized test scores are great and your extracurriculars look very good as well. My advice? Apply ED :)

Columbia loves international students, to be sure, but tons of international applicants love Columbia. I have no first-hand experience, mind you, but I hear it’s terribly competitive, especially if you’re coming from a nation that sends a lot of students to Columbia, like China.
