I'm thinking of going here for one year and then maybe transferring to UGA. I live in Georgia. Would that be worth it, or should I just stick with GSU? I'm not certain I'll transfer to UGA, but it's probably my best option in the long run.

Why would you do that? Why UConn over GSU? I only ask because, financially, GSU would be a lot more benficial. It’s one thing if you truly love the campus and want to go here, but if you don’t plan on staying for more than a year, I think GSU would definitely be the best option. (Unless you would go to UConn for less then GSU.)

Basically, if you’re only going for a year, go where it’s cheapest.

…and quite honestly, if you are certain that you will be transferring then I would say definitely don’t go for one year. There are so many kids that are on the wait list that are dying to go to UConn so to hear this makes me sad since you will be taking up a spot.
