WORTH it? ..or WAIT??

I'm probably going to apply early (to Stanford); however, my friend also wants to but he's afraid his scores will keep him out. I have no idea what advice to give him; stanford is a big crapshoot. So, in short, here's what I know/here's the big question (that others can probably relate to):

If you have a 2160 sat, 32 act, amazing essays, 4.0 UW, 4.6 W, 300+ hrs community service, 700+ on three subject tests, unique ECS...and think you can show your passions & create the best application (outside of test scores) for SCEA, ** is it worth it to apply early? ** Especially if you're not a URM?

*OR Is it better to take the SAT/ACT again in November and shoot for a higher score? *

*..And then apply regular decision against 20,000+ applicants...? *

Thanks ;)

Ok....so from what I've been told...You should apply early if you are SURE that Stanford is your #1 choice. The acceptance rate is higher in early admissions...but that could be because there are so many high quality applicants in the early application process. That said... Stanford as well as all the Ivies are a big reach for EVERYONE! They are looking for not only good/great scores but uniqueness.
I say GO FOR IT!
Good Luck!
Chance me back...Thanks! :)

Thx kmitch :) Stanford is his 1st choice, hence this dilemma.

Anyone else? Advice is really appreciated. How much of a weight is put on SAT/ACT by Stanford if you're within their "average" range?

And does anyone know how many people (non legacy, urm, athlete) are admitted with SAT less than 2250 & ACT around 32? I mean, does he have a "decent" enough (not extraordinary) chance?

Anyone else........?
