So, if you student originally applied to the school, not needing FA and not applying for it, is it ever worth applying in future years if the website states this?
“Please note: If you apply to ____ not needing financial aid, you will not be eligible for institutional aid in future years. An exception may be made if your family experiences an unanticipated change in financial circumstances. In these cases limited funds may be available.”
No unanticipated changes in this family, just down 2 years of full tuition costs, which of course was not unanticipated.
This is a school that requires the CSS. We applied for sophomore year and were offered small federal loans at a high interest rate (higher that a home equity line of credit).
