Hey guys, I have a 3.82 right and probably a 3.87ish by Fall, UCSD and UCSB will be my backup schools but I wanted to know if it is worth it to tag? To tag I have to complete eng102 by Fall, but I'll be Taking Gen Chem 1, Molecular Bio, Precalc (15 units) during Fall and would rather just take english during the winter intersession (i would be able to send official transcript by Feb). Since my gpa is high for these two schools would you recommend to not worry about tag? I think I read that everyone who applied to UCSD with above a 3.0 got in or so?

Another question, for UCLA Bio transfer, one of the prereqs is Ochem 1 with Ochem 2 recommended, does not having a prereq as Biology transfer severely disadvantage me like it would being a Biz Econ transfer? I don't want to take Gen Chem 2 and Org Chem 1 at the same time if I don't have to.

3.87 GPA is relatively high, but you did not even complete Chem 1, not even pre calc… so i think your GPA will be drop… plus… how can you not pass the assessment test to take calculus 1

Haha I had to take prep chem first, and I stopped math at 10th grade in HS, I didnt try at all in HS lol, and I have 2 B’s right now, 1 from HS (didn’t try back then) and 1 from spring semester because I completely stopped going, and got a B on my final :/

I hate it when people ask if they should TAG…Yes! You should. Its like not that hard and it basically saves your spot at most of the UC schools. tag. tag. tag. tag.

yes def tag. take the stress out, and also, most of those acceptances of 3.0 or above were from tags, not from outright regular decision. dont be dumb and pass up your opertunity to get in without a hickup

go in everywhere I applied.(CSUF, CSULB, UCI, UCSB, UCR)

Yes, TAG helps, but you’ll probably be in everywhere and if for some crazy reason you don’t get in somewhere, you can appeal the decision and state the new grade you got in English.
