I’m currently a student at Bryn Mawr and I’m happy with the academics, the community, the faculty, etc. But I cannot stand living on campus- sure, the rooms look nice, but they’re all identical, single rooms are never guaranteed, and there’s no A/C or upward mobility (you’re a frosh in a tiny room on a loud hall with a communal bathroom, you’re a senior in a tiny room on a loud hall with a communal bathroom). I also have about a one in a thousand chance of being approved to live off campus and even if I am approved, the apartments nearby are way too expensive for how unsafe and loud they are. I grew up near Mac and got in last year when I applied as a first year. I couldn’t decide between Mac & BMC literally up until like 5 minutes before I had to submit a decision. Plus, there are close, quality apartments for like $600 bucks a month because, well, it’s the Midwest. I really can’t stand living on this campus for another three years. I know if I transfer I’ll be able to move off campus immediately- and socialisation isn’t an issue since I haven’t made any friends at BMC living ON campus. I’m just looking for some guidance and I feel like I can’t get it from BMC without coming off as salty.
Are you transferring?
(drops back in like it hasn’t been over six months) yea i am
