I am applying to life sciences at mcgill.
My ACT Scores: 26 math, 26 English 28 Science, 30 reading.

Now the SAT: 630 CR, 650 math, 660 Writing

SAT II: 670 Chem, 740 USH

would it be worth sending the SATs, or just stick with the ACT?

other stats: Ranked 1/488, 5.034/4.0 GPA, Always had A's in Math and Science classes. 4 years of french.

i don’t think your chances are good either way

well i applied. I just don’t know if it would be worth sending the SATs or not. Should i?

yes, i think your SAT scores are better than your ACT

From McGill’s website on minima for Sept. 2010 requirements for US students:

SAT I Critical Reading 620
Math 560 (600 for Engineering, Architecture)
Writing 610
SAT II
Writing 610 Physics 580
Literature 610 Chinese/Chinese L 570
American History 600 French/French L 590
World History 590 German/German L 570
Math I 570 Hebrew 500
Math II/IIC 540 Italian 570
Biology 590 Japanese/Japanese L 570
Ecological Biology 590 Korean with L 570
Molecular Biology 590 Latin 580
Chemistry 580 Spanish/Spanish L 570

It would appear that you surpass those published minima, so admission is possible, but perhaps not probable.

The fact that you are almost certainly from an extremely disadvantaged high school may work in your favour (the huge discrepancy between your high rank of 1/488 and your SAT scores suggests that your school is weak).

Actually, the minima for Life Sciences for American students are higher:
"Science (B.Sc.)
Biological, Biomedical and Life Sciences

SAT IIs: two of Math, Biology, Chemistry or Physics. A- average in grades 10, 11 and 12; A- in each prerequisite math and science; each SAT I and II 670 or ACT 30 (subscores 26 or higher)"
