Hi, all. I sent my first score of 2340 to colleges (760 CR, 780 M, and 800 W). I retook and got a 2330 (740 CR, 790 M, 800 W).

Should I send the 2330 to improve my superscore (which is 2350)? Or should I just let it go? I feel the 790 M is a huge improvement because on the statistics, 10k+ kids has 780 M, but only about 1k had 790, so it would be a good "improvement".

Would sending the new score HURT in any way?

Is this a serious question? If I were an adcom and had been planning to accept you, good chance I’d dismiss you as a tool and send you to the circular file.

I was going to chastise hmom for being harsh, but then I noticed that you’re not even a CC newbie!

Come on, arachnotron…! 2340 is fine. No one is going to reject you because you have 10 points less than another applicant. If you get rejected, it will be for another reason.

He does have a point. The segregation between 780 on math and 790 on math on the college he wants is quite significant. I think he should send the score.

^ i retook a 1580/2370…ended up canceling though …for some reason I’ve always wanted (and stil want) a 2400 just so I can be perfect in some small way.

I’m checking to see if you have irony mode on while writing this.

For any other school, I’d agree with everyone. But he said they get 10k applicants with 780 on math, and only 1k with 790. It’s fairly large from what I see.
