I've taken three SAT II tests, but I am submitting my ACT (34). I was wondering if I should also send my SAT II as they aren't spectacular. I have 730 in Lit and Bio E and 740 in USH. I'm apply to a bunch of schools so I don't want to pay the $11.25 when I don't have to. Should I send these schools for WashU?

I’m in pretty much the exact same situation as you so I’d love to hear anyone else’s input on this. Thanks

ARE YOU KIDDING? How are those “not spectacular”? Of course you should submit them!

You know, I think that there could be a whole section just for people humblebragging about SAT II tests. Anyone with me? Moderators, Senior Members? I mean, seriously, this is about the 4th person on here just in the last day or two worrying about their SAT II scores being not good enough, and they always have 700+ scores. Really, people, YOU ARE FINE!

@albert69 Sorry if my post rubbed you the wrong way. I come from a really competitive school that sends 50+ kids to top 25 schools every year. I’ve just been used to the environment where scores under 770 aren’t spectacular. Because SAT II are optional, I assumed I need around that score to stand out, or else it seems average. Again, I apologize!

Oh, it’s okay. I’m sorry for going so ballistic there on you, I shouldn’t have done that. From my standpoint, any score above 700 is great, so just a different perspective, I guess. Plus you weren’t really complaining, just asking a question. They people with the 790s whining are what really get to me. Best of luck!

In the past Wash U required subject tests so if you have them, definitely send them. It basically sets you apart from the others that don’t have it. I learned that from another mom who was told by an admissions officer to take 5 subject tests! He was saying all the applicants are pretty much the same so if you have something that helps you stand out that is always beneficial.

They look like good scores. Send them in!
