I took the SAT a few months ago and admittedly didn’t take it very seriously. Although I didn’t study very much, I still got a 1490 (740,750). Since I’m not applying to any Ivy League tier schools I’m hesitant that I should take it again as it’s a very good score. But I know I could improve my total score significantly. Is it really worth taking it again?
if the college allows score choice, and if you have the time and money, and if the higher score may help with scholarship, why not?
If you have the money, I would recommend taking it again. I, personally, am planning on taking it again to improve my scores to help improve my chances of getting a scholarship; the higher the better, right? However, with your score, you should have no problem with it. On the other hand, if you are only worried about improving your score for acceptance, you don’t have to take it again since you aren’t applying to Ivy schools and your score is already quite high.
