worth taking the AP if you get a 3?

<p>Is it worth taking an ap test if you think you're goign to recieve a 3?</p>

<p>in my case, money isn't that big of a deal.
i'm applying to very selective colleges. (hence i'm a junior).
college credit is not the main thing on my mind. i'm hoping that even a 3 will boost my chances to be accepted. </p>

<p>Easier question: Aside from all other matters, what do collges like more? A 3,2,1 on an ap test or not taking the test at all?</p>
