I was waitlisted at my top school, and am currently torn between Nova and a Catholic school in the Midwest, where I received a full-tuition scholarship. Nova would cost me about $5000 more a year, and I would graduate with >$20,000 in debt, versus zero at the other place.

I like Nova more, but I am wondering if it's worth the added cost. I will probably have to go to grad school as well, so I need to take that under consideration.

Any input, especially from alums, would be appreciated!!

Don’t follow you…You have a full tuition ride at a school, and you say 'Nova will cost you 5k more then the free ride…Then you say you’ll have greater then 20k in debt upon graduation vs zero at other school…Have you gotten significant FA from 'Nova? at 52k per year all in, only having to pay 5k seems extremely affordable…You don’t name the other school,so hard to say whether 5k more per year is worth it,but imho, it is

i would go to the full ride place. especially if you don’t plan to live on the east coast cuz no one past here has really heard of the academics, only the basketball

The other school is Saint Louis U. I would only have to pay room and board there (about $10,000/yr), versus about $15,000 a year at VU (plus graduating with about $20,000 in loans at VU).

I apologize for not being clearer earlier. Thanks to everyone who’s offered input so far :)
